As the first semester after the summer gets closer more news articles are covering the plight of the student and what they’re doing to avoid the high textbook cost.
Even if textbooks are not your specialty, it couldn’t hurt if you have a good source of textbooks that you can resell for less than the campus bookstore.

If you are going to be around Queensbury, NY August 11th, then you may want to check out The Warren County Historical Society’s antique appraisal sale. Not only will they be selling antiques, they will also have antique appraisers on hand to analyze your antiques.
The cost per appraisal will be $5.00 for one item and $10.00 for 3. There will also be:
“Selected antique items, donated by society members and friends, as well as a variety of used books, will be available for purchase.”

Denny Jones, an English teacher in Cambodia, contacted us to see if we knew of any good places for inexpensive textbooks.
I can’t think of a better group of people who may be able to benefit from assisting Denny than the BSOB readers
This is what Denny is looking for:
I am an English instructor and librarian for a Hospitality school in Cambodia. We are in need of up-to-date reference and teaching materials. Could you please investigate whether you can assist my school in securing the following publications? And if so, the possible costs involved in shipping to Cambodia.
The following is a partial list of English language books and teaching materials I believe may be useful for our school and library.
Please note that I have tried to include the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) for each title to better facilitate any searches you may wish to conduct to find a suitable price and supplier.
I will be happy to offer additional requests upon your suggestion.
