Stock Analysis: EBAY

September 28th, 2006

The Street has a nice article today discussing the different annalyst positions on eBay’s stock. For those of you die hard eBayer’s out there, paying close attention to the company’s stock and corresponding shareholder mood is really important. Both eBay and Amazon have had it pretty rough in 2006, so far. EBay is only at 57% of it’s 2006 high of $46.65, way back in January. I think many sellers can point to a variety of changes to their relationship with these companies that related directly to market concerns. I am not a stock expert or in any way guarantee this statement, but if you were looking for a short sell investment, taking eBay through the end of the year, gives you a good chance of a 20-25% ROI for this investment.
